TripXenia ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable privacy laws.

- Name — optionally, when you contact us.
- Message content — when you submit a contact or enquiry form.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Collected via Umami Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-less analytics tool. No personal identifiers are stored. Umami does not use persistent cookies or cross-site tracking.

4. How We Use Your Data
- To send you our newsletter if you subscribed (legal basis: consent).
- To respond to your contact form messages (legal basis: legitimate interest).
- To personalise content to your market region (legal basis: legitimate interest).
- To analyse anonymous site usage and improve our content (legal basis: legitimate interest via Umami).
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Newsletter & Email
We use your email address solely to send you newsletters you subscribed to. We do not sell email addresses. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or by emailing help@tripxenia.com with the subject "Unsubscribe".
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 Umami Analytics
We use Umami, a GDPR-compliant, open-source analytics platform. Umami does not use cookies for analytics and does not collect personally identifiable information. Data is aggregated and anonymised.
6.2 Affiliate Networks
Our site contains affiliate links to third-party services including vCommission, EarnKaro, CueLinks, Airalo, iVisa, DiscoverCars, Wise, and Viator. When you click these links, those services may set their own cookies and collect their own data. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
6.3 Email Provider
Newsletter emails are dispatched via Listmonk (self-hosted). Your email is stored on our secure server and is not shared with third-party marketing platforms.
7. Data Retention
- Newsletter emails: retained until you unsubscribe, after which they are deleted within 30 days.
- Contact form messages: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Analytics data: Umami data is retained for 24 months in aggregated form.
- Cookies: as listed in Section 3.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, you have the following rights:
- Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw at any time.

9. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. Our servers are protected by firewalls and access controls. We do not store payment card information. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
TripXenia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us immediately.
11. International Transfers
Our servers are located within the EU/EEA. Analytics data processed by Umami is self-hosted and does not leave our infrastructure. If we transfer data outside the EEA in future, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. For significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
